I love the fact that makeup is constantly changing and evolving, like fashion. We borrow ideas and inspiration from other decades, yes, but we put a different spin on it every time. To me, that’s exciting. I love being a part of an industry that is so dynamic.

I began my makeup career as a visual artist. I graduated from UBC Okanagan with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002. My background as an artist has shaped my experience with makeup quite significantly. I have a strong eye for colour theory, shapes and textures, and find myself looking to the every day for inspiration. I look everywhere to spark creativity and imagine unique ways in which to express myself. I embrace the unique.

In 2002 I started at Estee Lauder, and two years later I joined the team at M.A.C Cosmetics. M.A.C is an industry leader and a driving force responsible for makeup on countless runways; my eight years with the company has helped me develop my creative eye and technique. M.A.C has kept me on top of makeup and fashion trends and has introduced me to numerous names and connections within Vancouver and Canada.

I pride myself on continuously improving my craft. I approach each project individually and professionally. Art is my passion; I consider myself so lucky to have extended this to be a facet of my career. Makeup is such a stimulating art form: dynamic, expressive and unique. Please join me on my journey.
